The low-volume mask is the standard in high-level underwater rugby, and for good reason: its small air pocket sits tight against your face, gives an opponent less surface to shift it in a tackle, and makes it easier to equalize when you drop 3–4 meters to the bottom of the pool. At UWR Colombia it's US$37, in 12 colors so you can match your team's look, and we ship it worldwide.
Why low-volume and not a scuba mask?
A traditional scuba mask holds a lot of air: it floats, fogs up more, and in a contact game it's an easy target to rip off. A low-volume mask sits close to your eyes, cuts hydrodynamic drag as you swim for the ball, and needs less air to equalize on every dive to the bottom. For underwater rugby, underwater hockey and dynamic freediving, it's the right choice.
Materials and specs
- Soft-sealing hypoallergenic silicone skirt.
- Impact-resistant tempered polycarbonate lens.
- Adjustable silicone strap with quick-release buckles.
- Low-volume profile: smaller air pocket = less buoyancy and easier equalizing.
- Wide field of view, especially in the clear version.
How to check the fit and seal
Hold the mask against your face without the strap and inhale gently through your nose; if it stays on by itself, the seal is right for your face. Make sure no hair or cap band is caught between the silicone and your skin. If you wear a cap with ear guards (Spanish page), put the cap on first and then adjust the strap over it. FAQ
Does it work for freediving as well as underwater rugby?
Yes. Low volume is exactly what freedivers want, because you equalize with very little air; many customers use it for both.
Is it anti-fog?
The polycarbonate lens benefits from an anti-fog treatment; we recommend applying anti-fog (or spit) before you get in. If you want a lens with a factory UV and anti-fog treatment, check out our UV mask with mirror or amber lens.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide from Colombia. Shipping is quoted per country before you pay, and import duties and taxes are paid by the buyer. More in International orders.
Can I order several for my team?
Of course, we handle club orders. Message us on WhatsApp or email uwrcolombiaoficial@gmail.com and we'll sort out quantities and colors.
